The Brainiacs Enhanced ICT textbook is a complete 12-year course covering the various concepts of STEM; which

covers coding, robotics, animation, circuit design and game design, tailored to fit into the Nigerian curriculum

thereby bridging the digital gap.

Each module has its own unique unit which builds and develops a series of 21st century skills towards the creation

of a final project, with topics ranging from writing simple programs to working with robots.

Within each path, each five key concepts are designed to give learners the skills they need to become innovators and

Coding: This allows learners to explore the five basic elements on programming which are Input, Output,

Arithmetic, conditional, looping.

Robotics: This covers the major components of robotics and robots. The learners will learn about the sensors, the

actuators, motors, the body or frame.

Animation: The learners will be introduced to the basic concepts of animation which includes storytelling,

storyboarding, character, background.

Working with text: from editing simple text to creating amazing outputs.

Handling data: transforming numbers into useful and easy to read and understand data.

Computers in society: This focuses on real life applications of technology. This ranges from the history of the

internet and the world wide web to general computer uses. The multimedia aspect covers using technology to

creatively design graphics, animations, edit images and so much more.

The workbook is tailored to help learners explore multiple concepts and ideas. They will develop logical thinking,

problem solving, teamwork and time management skills. These skills are part of the 21st century
